It’s a HOT sunny Fall Tuesday on the east coast and if you have not been outside yet… it is time for you to get out there!
Many of us spend many hours glued to screens and checking off to-do’s. I urge you to get outside for five minutes and “just be.”
Last night I welcomed incredible women to the virtual We All Feel adult support group. I am certain that the women who joined last night found We All Feel at the right time and for all the right reasons. I am honored to hold space and cannot wait to continue to do so over the next thirteen sessions. (There is room for one more person to join if you have been thinking about it or know someone in need of community). In a rose colored world I would end the share here.
I originally intended for the fourteen-week program to start the second week of September, not on October 2nd. There were times I questioned if the offering would happen if not enough people signed up and my mind raced before bed fearing this scenario. I was bummed that I had to change the start date and did not want to disappoint the group members that were ready to go. After last night, I was reminded that timing is everything. That waiting is worth it. That without effort there is no grace.
Here are 3 Things Things to consider next time your plans change:
It is okay if something takes you more time than you thought it would. The mantra, “I’m doing the best that I can” is true. Say it and believe it.
Shift directions when needed. I quickly learned the reality that starting three groups during the same week was not going to be possible. I put my attention and energy on the adult group.
Reflecting leads to growth. Instead of getting stuck on what went wrong I can learn from what allowed this group to happen. Every time you do something — especially as an entrepreneur or on your own — you have the opportunity to develop whether professionally or personally.
