A few weeks ago a yoga teacher used the word capacious in class and I have not stopped thinking about it. On the theme from last week’s share about slowing down and being present, I have asked myself repeatedly: what do I have the capacity for?
Capacious via New Oxford American Dictionary: having a lot of space inside; roomy: she rummaged in her capacious handbag.
At a certain point, my “roomy handbag” will not only overflow but it will also be completely disorganized if I do not prioritize my needs.
I am having one of those days where I wish I had more time to check items off my to-do list. And I spent the first two hours of my morning without opening any emails. I moved my body and breathed in nature on a hiking trail. I made this decision knowing my day would be jam packed and with acknowledgment that I have recently felt glued to my screens.
Today I ask you to consider… What do you have the capacity for? When do you need to push through? And when can you slow down?
xoxo,
Amanda
