Have you experienced birthday induced anxiety? Iām usually āthat girlā but the day has come and passed, and somehow I navigated through a bit more gracefully this year.
In the past six months Iāve gone through many major life changes. Self-induced, mutually decided upon, and still figuring outā¦ Iād call it beautiful and messy. Messy and beautiful.
A few weeks ago, amidst catching up, laughing, hiking and being immersed in artā¦ I spent time with an old friend. (Hi Christian if youāre reading this!)Ā
I bring this up to share that Christianās presence at the start of Pisces season was the composure I needed to witness, heading towards our 30th birthdays in March. While he nonchalantly shared about feeling grounded and excited about where he is in his life, I ātook notes.ā My life couldnāt be more drastically different than his right now AND I decided I still wanted to feel that way.
For the weeks leading up to my birthday, I have been leaning into presence and acceptance for where I am, right here, right now. If youāve been in a time of transition, consider how presence or acceptance can support your journey.
*I started writing this email before my actual birthday, and as I finish writing today, I reflect on a weekend of feeling loved and celebrated beyond what I could imagine. AND I have to be honest, it was not a tear-free weekend, and Iām even thankful for that.
My question for you, if you too are navigating changeā¦ what is your AND? Can you feel loved AND let down? Inspired AND sensitive? Trusting AND critical?
xoxo,
Amanda
PS In case no one told you today, I love you.
