As we officially enter Fall, I invite you to reflect on your summer. What went well? What went wrong? What went better than expected? And what do you want to release?
In many ways my summer was exceptional. I share my reflections from a place of empathy (always, I can’t help it) and acknowledgment of how fortunate I am. I turned my dreams into reality and I want that for you too. I also deeply understand that your season may have been difficult or more complicated.
This is my little love letter to summer 2023:
My sister recently found a journal from when I was ten years old. I had answered questions and written about what I dreamed my life would look like at age thirty. Not one thing that elementary aged Amanda envisioned is my current reality.
Summer 2023 you were sweeter than ten year old me (and thirty year old me) could have ever imagined. You lifted me, held me, and I marinated in moments of freedom and absolute bliss.
I jumped into the ocean and swam more times than I can count. I spent time with my favorite people and in my favorite places. I added a new favorite place in the world to my list (I have a few). I wished that time would stop or slow down and that perfect cotton candy sunset skies could pause and last a little bit longer.
This quarter of the year, this season of my life, is one I’ll always remember.
This Fall I’m working on:
Being more present with me (less doing, more being)
I’m replacing scrolling through emails and instagram in the morning with walks and movement
More hikes and more time in nature
As the seasons change, I (once again) have changed too.
xoxo,
Amanda
PS In case no one told you today, I love you
PPS I cannot believe what I am going to share with you all next week!!! 🫣🤯
