Welcome to March! While I’m not sure if every month of this substack will have a theme, this month is all about times of transition. Personally, I’ve been through many life transitions over the past few months, and I have a big one coming up this weekend too… entering a new decade.
I’ve joked with quite a few friends about being done with changes or wanting them to stop, though the inevitable is that change is the only constant.
It’s times of change where I have to recenter and reground over and over again. Where I have to lean into the tools in my toolbox, that I know support me.
I never thought I’d have a favorite tree, but over the past few years, spending ample time in the mountains, the aspen quickly became my most adored. And you can imagine that when I learned this fact about the aspen, I felt even more in awe.
While each aspen tree looks individual, the root systems are actually all connected, making the aspen one tree. The aspen remind me it’s less about me and more about my community.
Journal Prompts to consider:
Who makes up my root system? Who has been there for me through my hardest moments and celebrated me during my biggest wins? What tools do I have within me, that keep me grounded in times of change?
Xoxo,
Amanda
PS In case no one told you today, I love you.
