When I started this substack (almost) two years ago, I knew that it would shift and change over time. What I also always knew, was that the core purpose of my writing and sharing was (and is) to let you know that you are not alone in whatever it is that you are going through.
I have probably shared those exact words on here (and on socials) before. Honestly I cannot share them enough. I really mean it when I say, I hear you & I am here for you. Oftentimes what that also means is I am thinking of you and I am rooting for you (whether you receive a text or call from me or not).
Last week, as I often do, I frantically scribbled words about “Getting Through” on a piece of paper before bed. (I misplaced that paper & am sure it will show up tomorrow, after I have already pressed send on this letter but I digress).
A recent experience has repeated in my mind a few times, and I wonder… can you relate?
I was at a party a few weeks ago, chatting with and enjoying the company of people I love and care about. As I looked around I thought to myself, “I am so in awe that this person is here, even with all that they have going on right now.”
I thought that a few times, during and after the party, about quite a few people. These are people who were dressed beautifully, smiled and laughed, and engaged in both meaningful and silly conversations with me and other guests.
I don’t know anyone who is not “Getting Through.”
“Getting Through” does not mean you look disheveled or are in complete chaos (though if it feels that way for you, I am cheering for you big time). It means that you are showing up in the here and now, defying the odds, doing this human life.
We All Feel offerings are designed for you to be you. Show up as you are. Spread the love and share with a friend.
xoxo,
Amanda
