Some days we are in Complete Flow: all plans go accordingly and we experience an abundance of joy and savor little and big moments like accomplishing a long-term goal or lounging in perfect weather or laughing with loved ones. Ahh how spectacular are those days?
While I have definitely had a few Complete Flow days in the past month, many days in my life that go well also include off-kilter moments and the necessity to adjust when when something goes awry.
This past Sunday I spread love and felt love as I spent time with family and then continued on to a brunch celebrating friends. Later in the day while alone, one song, followed by an unexpected playlist, came on that triggered my emotions. In the midst of a splendid day, I cried, I really cried. And an hour later I put my “teacher hat” on and led an outdoor meditation experience before enjoying dinner with friends.
Upon further reflection, having a “somewhere in between” day is what Complete Flow looks like for me. This is the ability to cry when the cloudy feelings come up, to release stuck emotions. I invite you, as always, to feel what you need to feel, when you need to feel it. This is the gift of our human experience, of being present during beautiful moments and coexisting with the raw emotions that come up too.

Amanda
